Day 2

PeachTea seems to be missing you almost as much as me. He hasn't been staying put on my shoulder for as long as normal. Took him outside to get some sunshine while I sat beside him playing my 3ds. Also found out what Magdalen was talking about with PeachTea singing along to songs when I put some music on while I was cooking dinner. While I am writing this I am watching him attempt to find the entrance to his cage of which I left the middle door open for him to enter.

Spent the majority of Saturday out at Benji's new place with some of his other friends though ended up having to go to work for an hour and a half  to do a short job for a wedding reception.

Hope that you two are having fun over there. It is not good that you had to clean up so much mess when you arrived but it seems as though you are both not wasting any time resting. I really like the iphone case that you found, it is very cute. Can not really tell how the sushi was from the picture but assume it tasted better than it does here.

Missing not being able to call you when I want.

Guess where I am

There's one in every continent...

Day 1

I've been writing this entry multiple times, but my app keeps wiping it out, it is very frustrating!

There's no need to tell you how the day started, since you were there, lol.

The flight was very uneventful, I can only hope that all my upcoming flights are that unremarkable.

When I got back to the apartment in Hong Kong, I found that mum had left the windows open! In the past few months, Hong Kong had experienced really bad weather, such as typhoon. So the apartment was covered in dust and things were blown everywhere!

It took us a little while to get things cleaned up to a level where we can tolerate sleeping there.

As you could see from Facebook, we had sushi for dinner.

My friends and I were supposed to have dinner at a sushi place we always go to but it had closed down. The new place was alright, but service was pretty bad.

Oh oh oh, I bought a new iPhone case, it is soooo cute!

What do you think?

After shopping for a bit, we all went to some cafe and played...

unveiling early

Hey...

I find myself debating over when I should unveil this surprise to you.

On the one hand, I want you to open the link on the day that I'm due to fly out, see what I've created for you and know that I'll be thinking of you even though I'll be gone for a month.

On the other hand, I worry about whether you'd feel this would be a good idea and whether you would jump on board this little adventure with me. Not to mention getting any technical problems fixed up before I leave.

I guess I should first explain what this is.

Remember the last time I went on a trip (Japan Trip 2011)? I wasn't able to reply to your messages regularly, and sometimes I might disappear for days?

This was in part due to dodgy internet connections and in part (I admit) due to the fact that I was on a trip, and wasn't (and shouldn't be) reading whatsapp messages on my phone.

This time I thought that I might create a little blog about my 2012 trip.

It would partly be a record of my travels, as well as a series of letters to you.

I know that I could do a similar thing with Facebook or with emails, but they each have their shortcomings (which I will refrain from specifying here) and in the end I chose a blog format.

I know that this is a public format, and you may not feel comfortable with it. This is one of the reasons I wish to let you know in advance, in case you do not wish to go ahead with it. Also because what I have wrote so far is only half the story.

By now you may or may not have received an email invite from Google.
Clicking on the link in the email will give you write access to this blog.
I am hoping that as I write to you about my trip overseas, you would also let me know how you're doing. Pictures of what I'm missing in Melbourne, such as food, events, and how Peachtea is faring in his new home...

If you would like, I could make this blog entirely private so only the two of us could read it...
